It’s Officially Summer
Get outside this summer, with P3 cream
The sun is out at my home in British Columbia, after a few weeks of mixed spring weather. The summer solstice is upon us and schools are almost out; I feel safe to say summer is officially here!
As regular readers will know, I encourage my customers and patients to get out in the fresh air.
I believe we should go out in all seasons. Getting out and about benefits us physically and mentally. It resets our brain function, hormones and emotions; leaving us feeling refreshed, grounded and energised. However, I do concede that getting outside is definitely easier in the summer months! Warmer temperatures, longer days and clear skies are always welcoming.
I also encourage exercise. There is some activity for everyone, regardless of physical abilities. I focused on golf in a blog a couple of weeks ago (Click here for the link) and I will be writing a few more articles on other sports to do in the summer months such as watersports, tennis, pickleball and cycling so keep an eye out for those.
Use these warmer months to kick-start a new exercise routine or push an existing one a little further.
Ideas to try:
- Get out for a daily walk, try a new trail or join a local walking group for social exercise such as The Abbotsford Walking/Hiking And More Group | Meetup. Just google search for your local area.
- Get out of the gym and try a routine at a local park’s outdoor gym area. There are loads of videos on YouTube for you to try but follow these links for some inspiration: #SAM 7 Outdoor Gym (Beginner Workout) or Outdoor gym: How to take your gym routine outdoors or
- Sign up for an outdoor sports challenge and give yourself a goal, raise money for a worthwhile cause or just have fun with friends, such as Foam Fest or IRONMAN Canada – Anything is Possible or Dynamic Race Events
- Head to a local lake and try swimming, paddle-boarding, canoeing or kayaking for a lovely way to get fit and enjoy the world around you. Even just dipping your toes in the water can lift your mood.
As a physical therapist, I understand managing pain, injury and chronic physical conditions such as arthritis can be difficult but it is not impossible. Using natural pain relief P3 cream, alongside any prescribed medication means you can get extra relief right where you need, wherever you are.
The ingredients are a powerful mixture of proven high quality plant oils that are anti-inflammatory and soothing on the skin. Plus, it is alcohol free, aspirin free and paraben free, so no nasty ingredients and safe for all ages including children.
The active ingredients in P3 cream are:
- Calendula Oil – circulation stimulant and soothing skin conditioner that has been used for centuries for its powerful anti-inflammatory effects.
- Peppermint Oil – effective circulation stimulant with localised cooling and toning properties that has been used since ancient Greece for reducing pain. (Note: Peppermint oil should be avoided in pregnancy)
- Eucalyptus Oil – works in synergy with the other ingredients by ‘opening up’ the skin to allow access for the other ingredients. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. (Note: should be avoided for high blood pressure and epilepsy)
- Tea Tree Oil – work as a skin conditioner and anti-bacterial agent. It also helps reduce inflammation.
We also add Lavender oil to our P3 Calm product. This contains all the same active ingredients mentioned above alongside Lavender Oil. Lavender soothes the skin and has proven relaxation effects to aid sleep and rest which aids recovery.
We’ve also received some anecdotal evidence that P3 Calm also works as a good natural insect repellent – perfect to repel those pesky bugs in the summer months. I’ve even used it after a long flight to ease tired muscles and help fight jet lag. Great to pop in your travel bag for flights, camping, lake days and more.
Welcome Summer, open your doors, open your windows, open your hearts and minds to the possibilities and get outside. Start small or go large, it really doesn’t matter; just get outside this summer with P3 cream there to help ease any aches or pain. Enjoy yourself, have fun and I can’t wait to hear all about it.
Best wishes
